WORKSHOP
|
Creativity: Where the Divine and the Human
Meet
|
|
This
workshop will explore the role of
Creativity in our lives and
how we can elicit more of it and how creativity so often
bespeaks our mystical experiences and paves the way for our
prophetic contribution. Methodology will include lecture and
discussion, imagery and sharing. Much of the content will be
based on Matthew Fox’s new book, Creativity: Where the
Divine and the Human Meet. |
|
Matthew
Fox is a controversial and influential theologian who is well known for reviving the tradition of
Creation Spirituality and as
a compelling voice for progressive causes. He was ordained a Dominican priest in 1967, earned a
Doctorate in Spirituality. He
was silenced by the Vatican and later dismissed from the
Dominican order, after which he
was received as an Episcopal
priest. Matthew is the
energetic, articulate, and prolific founder
and president of the University
of Creation Spirituality. |

Connecting
Through
Tradition |
|
Today we
see the
blight of newness everywhere: The search for God in
the spiritual marketplace spins our heads first one direction, then the
next. Against this backdrop traditional spiritual culture stands
offering refuge to the serious. Vaikuntha offers a connection with
tradition through bronzes from India including deities, ritual
implements and other items dating generally from 18th to 19th century. |
|
Eric
Brummel is presenting an exciting, and challenging speaker. Eric
invites you to spend your lunch ingesting rich impression food along
with whatever you decide to munch. |

Discover
the Power
of Your True Birthstone |
|
Gemstones
have
long been used in Indian tradition to enhance the energy
of the planets. Vedic astrological charts act as roadmaps showing which
gems will bring benefit to one's life and which should be avoided.
Alfred, a gemologist, will address how to obtain a gem prescription,
choose a gem and wear it. |
|
Gemologist,
Alfred King, is a recognized expert on detection of
treatments in natural gemstones. He has studied ancient Indian texts on
practical uses of gem materials. Alfred is also a professional gem and
jewelry photographer. |
