Riane Eisler
The Power of Partnership
Sunday 3:30 pm room 3
Renowned
social scientist and cultural historian Riane Eisler will
take self-help to a new level of meaning and effectiveness
in this soul-searching workshop. The tragedy of last September's
terrorist attacks brought home the undeniable reality
that we cannot Òhelp the self' in any real and lasting
way without being aware of and responsive to key relationships
in our lives. The seven key relationships include our
relationship with ourselves, our intimate parent-child
and woman-man relationships, our work and local community
relationships, our relationship to the national community,
to the international community, to nature, and finally,
to spirit. With an emphasis on "putting love into
action," Raine will demonstrate how to use these
distinctions to improve our lives, and the lives of those
around us.
Riane
Eisler is internationally renowned as one of the most
original thinkers of our time. Her books include the
bestseller The Chalice and The Blade, Sacred Pleasure,
Tomorrow's Children, and the newly released The Power
of Partnership: Seven Relationships that Will Change
Your Life. Eisler is President of the Center for Partnership
Studies, has taught at UCLA, and keynotes conferences
worldwide.
