journey into the world of yoga with Rodney Yee, hailed
as one of the leaders of the yoga movement by Time magazine.
Gain insights into his unique perspective on the asana
practice and his personal yoga philosophy, while experiencing
the tremendously popular and successful approach featured
in his new book, "Yoga: The Poetry of the Body,"
co-authored by Nina Zolotow. After a brief talk, Rodney
will teach a one-hour yoga class suitable for yoga students
of every level, including absolute beginners. Bring
a yoga mat and wear comfortable, non-restrictive clothing.
After class, there will be a 1/2 hour question and answer
period.
Rodney
Yee has practiced yoga for 20 years and is the co-director
of the Piedmont Yoga Studio in Oakland, where he teaches
public classes and conducts an 18-month advanced-studies
program. He is featured in more than twenty-six top-selling
yoga instructional videos and DVDs created by Gaiam
and travels nationally and worldwide to teach weekend
workshops, week-long intensives and yoga retreats.
